Peter Albert Douglas' Obituary
Peter Albert Douglas passed away October 12, 2022 in Richmond, Texas. He was born August 19, 1943 to Kenneth Douglas and Francis Alberta Alger in Schenectady, New York. Peter was the oldest of five children. He joined the Air Force in 1960 at the age of 17 and spent some time stationed abroad. Eventually he was stationed in Shreveport, Louisiana where he met his first wife Jean Lavon Douglas. Peter and Jean were married in 1962 and were together for 22 years until Jeans death in 1984. Peter recieved his degree from Purdue University in Civil Engineering and earned his Union Teaching Certification in Plumbing and Pipe Fabrication. He owned his own pipe fabrication business for over 35 years. He loved to travel and lived in the Hague, Netherlands for a year with his family. In 1986 he married his second wife Vivian Douglas, who was with him until the end. Fishing, gardening, restoring classic cars, cooking, and giving back to his community, especially being Santa Claus at Christmas for the neighborhood children were his passions and he was awesome at all of them! He was great at spinning a story and had a wonderful sense of humor. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He will be truly missed.
He is proceeded in death by his parents Kenneth Douglas and Alberta Alger, his brother Mark Douglas and his first wife Jean Douglas.
He leaves behind his Wife Vivian, his daughters Laura (Bob) of Utah, Mary Ann (Jake) of Arkansas, his grandchildren Bailey, Riley, Anna Kate, Jacob, Caleb, sisters Paula and Patti, brother David (Tammy) and many nieces and nephews. Services will be held Friday October 21, viewing 5:00-8:00 pm and Saturday October 22 funeral service at 10:00 am at South Park Funeral Home 1310 N Main St, Pearland, TX 77581. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the SPCA of Houston or The American Cancer Association in Peters name.
