Paulette D. Dalton's Obituary
Paulette Dalton, 78, a 51 year resident of the Southbelt area, passed away on December 20th, 2024. Paulette was born on June 23rd, 1946 & grew up in Houston in the south Heights area. Paulette married her husband; Ronald V. Dalton Sr, in 1963. She graduated Reagan High School in 1965 and was a stay at home mom until she went to work as a manager for a small hotel in Houston for 20 years. Afterwards she went to work for Bayshore Hospital in the food services, taking care of new mothers in the maternity ward. Paulette worked there for almost 20 years before she decided to retire in 2015.
During her earlier years, she took care of four children who all went to Meador, Beverly Hills, & graduating from J. Frank Dobie H.S.
When the kids were attending Meador, Paulette was involved in the PTA from Christmas parties to the carnivals. During her spare time, Paulette enjoyed going to the thrift stores, watching movies and TV (Especially General Hospital). She loved attending to her flowers and plants through the years always changing them through the seasons. No plants or flowers were too big or too small.
After her husband passed away, the love of her life was her dog Pepe and the stray cats that she looked after and took care of.
Paulette was preceded in death by her parents, Paul & Nelda Draeger, and Husband Ronald V. Dalton Sr.
She is survived by her 4 children, Ronald V. Dalton Jr. & wife Angela of Pearland. Terri Dalton Cocek & husband Wade of Houston. Susan Dalton Stott & husband Anthony of Manvel. Paul Dalton of Houston.
Paulette also is survived by her 3 grandchildren. Dakota & Cheyenne Dalton and Lillian Cocek. Pallbearers will be Ronald V. Dalton Jr, Wade Cocek, Anthony Stott, Paul Dalton, & Floyd Arndt.
Visitation will be at Southpark Funeral home in Pearland on Tuesday, January 7th for family from 4-5 and friends from 5-8. Funeral services are on Wednesday, January 8th at 1000 with burial at 1100 at Southpark.
