Born on January 1st, 1964, in Van Nuys, California, Patrick was the cherished son of the late Richard Dale McGuire and Mary Jane Nowak. He was a devoted husband, loving father, proud brother, caring uncle, and loyal friend to many. Patrick lived a life marked by kindness, quiet strength, humility, and humor. He was known for his soft-spoken nature, thoughtful wisdom, and the way he made people feel seen and heard. He had a rare gift for making others feel safe and valued, and his presence was a steady anchor for his family and friends. He spent his career in restaurant management, where he earned deep respect—not just for his dedication and work ethic, but for the genuine connections he built with colleagues and customers alike. Outside of work, Patrick found joy in photography, listening to rock music, watching baseball, and diving deep into every kind of film—he had an incredible mind for storytelling and a passion for the details. He also loved the thrill of a trip to Las Vegas, especially sitting at the blackjack and craps tables, where his quiet confidence and easygoing charm always seemed to bring him luck. But more than anything, he loved spending time with his family. They were his greatest pride and his deepest source of joy. Patrick was also a dreamer—a man with his eyes always lifted to the stars. He held a lifelong fascination with the mysteries of the universe, often wondering what lay beyond the stars and imagining the truth behind extraterrestrial life. It brings comfort to those who loved him to think that now, at last, he knows. The mysteries he pondered in life may now be his to explore in eternity. Patrick’s legacy lives on through his beloved wife, Mala McGuire; his three sons, Jason, Marc, and Jake McGuire; and his siblings Vicki, Michelle, George, and Lance. He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Jennifer. Patrick’s memory will live on in every life he touched. He will be deeply missed—every single day—but his legacy of love, laughter, and quiet strength will guide us always. We carry him with us in every decision we make, every story we tell, and every act of kindness we offer to the world.
