Mrs. Patricia Jim (Sneigr) Smith's Obituary
Patricia Jim (Sneigr) Smith, age 74, a long-time resident of Houston, Texas, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 14, 2013 at Houston Hospice, Houston, Texas.
Patricia, the sixth daughter of Thomas Charles and Josephine Karoline Sneigr, was born on July 7, 1939 in Corpus Christi, Texas. At the age of nine, she moved with her family to Houston, Texas, where she attended public schools and graduated from Austin High School.
Patricia worked in the Insurance Industry for over 30 years, retiring from Delta General Agency in 2001. She has been a member of the Covenant of Faith United Methodist Church in Houston since 1973, where, in earlier years, worked in Mother's Day Out. She resided in Gulf Meadows Subdivision in Houston for over 30 years and was a dear friend to many of the neighbors, who affectionately referred to her as "Ms. Pat", 'Memaw", or "Miz Smith".
Patricia enjoyed spending time with her family, especially during the holidays, baking her favorite sweets!! She always thought, loved and cared for her children and grandchildren and they always came first, no matter what!!
She also enjoyed watching All My Children, One Life to Live, General Hospital, Little House on the Prarie, and Hallmark on T.V. Songs by Elvis Presley and Fats Domino were her favorite!
Patracia, was much loved by her surviving two daughters and one son: Kathryn Lamoureaux of Alvin, Texas; Carol Bourrillion and Billy Smith of Houston, Texas; (5) grandchildren: Jeanette Lamoureaux and Katie Lamoureaux of Alvin, Texas; Christopher Bourrillion, Robert Bourrillion, and Doriann Bourrillion of Houston, Texas.
Other survivors include three sisters, who always loved her like a daughter: Yvonne Hamilton of Sugar Land, Texas; Jo Nell Mikulenka and Tommie Jean Vial of Pearland, Texas.
Also surviving, is "Romeo" her furry, lovable, barking friend!
A Memorial Service will be held at Covenant of Faith United Methodist Church, 7900 Fuqua St., Houston, TX 77075 on August 10, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. PATRICIA WAS LOVED AND WILL BE MISSED BY EVERYONE WHO KNEW HER
