Ms. Patricia Ann Salazar's Obituary
Patsy (Palmer) Salazar 62yrs. young entered heavens gates on Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at Trinity Oaks Assisted Living, a place she called home. She put up a valiant fight with cancer for 7 months with chemotherapy and radiation, as her strong will to live, unwavering faith in God, and the love and prayers of family, friends and many supporters carried her through.
Preceding her in death were her parents, David and Archie Belle (Adams) Palmer.
Throughout her life she maintained a sweet and simple demeanor that won the trust and hearts of many who even now are being changed by her witness of constant nurturing love and faith. She possessed a contagious smile and an entertaining sense of humor. Her signature gift of joy shown through her constant smile, laughter and joking around will never be forgotten. Patsy was born on December 21, 1950 in El Paso, Texas to David Lynn and Archie Belle (Adams) Palmer.
She graduated Sam Rayburn High in Pasadena, Texas. Went on to Sam Houston State, Huntsville, TX, San Jacinto Jr. College, Pasadena, TX and Houston Community College, where she received her Registered Nursing Degree, Phi Theta Kappa. She was a foster parent for Harris Co. Texas. She loved children. Cared for infants/children with PKU neglect and failure to thrive. She went on to adopt three children, Tiffany, Peter and Philip. With a real zest for life Patsy loved to write, music, play games/cards-especially with her granddaughter Ariel, chat with friends and family just to name a few.
She is survived by her daughter, Tiffany Flinn, sons, Peter Flinn and wife, Kazumi, Philip Flinn and wife, Danielle; also grandchildren, Ariel Raines, Nicholas and Stanley Smith, Anthony, Julie, Martin and Brueski Flinn and Tiffany, Anthony and Kortney Flinn. Brother, David Palmer and wife, Stephanie and some cousins, nieces and nephews. The family is deeply grateful for the out pouring of love, prayers and support in many heartfelt forms, too many people to name individually, but including Hospice, the amazing Trinity Oakes Team, family and friends, wither through prayers and /pr visits and random acts of kindness. Today we rejoice in the knowing that she is forever at home with her savior king walking - no dancing on streets of gold healthy and with no more pain. "and the redeemed of the Lord shall return to come to Zion with singing, with everlasting joy on their heads. They shall obtain joy and gladness; sorrow and sighing shall flee away". (Isaiah 51:11)
"Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on. That they may rest from their labors and their works follow them". (Rev. 14:13)
