Pamla Pearson Reyes' Obituary
Pamla Jo Reyes, lovingly known to many as PJ or Pam, passed away peacefully on July 1, 2025 surrounded by her family at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX, after a courageous battle with cervical cancer. She was 44 years old.
Born October 3, 1980, in Houston, Pamla carried warmth and light that touched everyone she met. To know her was to love her. With an unwavering devotion to her family, she built a life grounded in love, laughter, strength, and deep care. She met her soulmate, and husband, Juan Reyes, in 1997, and together through those 28 years, they built a beautiful life, family, and a bond that only deepened with each year that passed. She was a mother whose arms were always open, whose meals nourished more than just the body, and whose heart beat in rhythm with the needs of those she loved most.
She is survived by her loving husband, Juan Reyes, and their children: Juan Reyes Jr., Jacob Reyes, Jeremiah Reyes, Joziah Reyes, Jayden Reyes, and Jozylinn Reyes. She now joins her beloved son, Joshua Reyes, known as Bubba, in eternal rest. Her legacy also lives on in her cherished grandchildren, Joshua Reyes Jr. and Jiana Reyes.
Pamla is also survived by her beloved mother, Kristal Johnstone, her father, JM Pearson II, and her sisters, Shanell Pearson, Brandy Aleman, and Stephanie Lange. She now joins her beloved brother, J.M. Pearson III, known as Scooter, in eternal rest.
Pam found joy in the little things, finding comfort in cooking homemade meals, dancing to music that moved her soul, and staying active in both body and spirit. Her compassion was powerful, and she had a gift of helping others through both words and presence. In every waking moment, she gave all she had to being the best mother, wife, sister, daughter and friend she could be. She loved sharing glimpses of her life through TikTok, where she captured everyday moments with heart and humor. Her bio read: “Smile, laugh, and enjoy life! Tomorrow isn’t promised.” Just a reflection of the way she lived and the wisdom she leaves behind.
Though her time on earth was far too short, her impact is immeasurable and unforgettable. She leaves behind a family rooted in her love, and a memory that will continue to inspire strength, kindness, and joy.
A viewing will be held on Sunday, July 6, 2025, from 5:00pm – 8:00pm. A celebration of life will be held on July 7, 2025, from 9:00am – 11:00 am. Both will take place at South Park Funeral home in Pearland, TX. Family and friends are welcome to attend and honor the beautiful woman she was.
