Pablo Adalberto Hernandez's Obituary
HOUSTON- Pablo A. Hernandez, 92, died peacefully of natural causes on January 16, 2026, surrounded by family.
He was born in Cuba in 1933 to Pablo and Reina Hernandez.
Pablo wanted to be an engineer and took night classes at a technical college while raising his young family. His ambitions were cut short when the country was overthrown by Fidel Castro. Desiring a better life for his family, he fled Cuba in 1967.
He married Olga Ortega Hernandez in 1960 and worked for a General Motors parts distribution company while taking night classes in Cuba. Once in the United States, he juggled several jobs to support his family, eventually working as a piping designer at an engineering company in Houston for over 40 years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two brothers, Delfin and Hector, and one great-grandchild. He is survived by his wife, Olga; children, George (Clementina) and Valia (Brian); grandchildren, Jessica, Adrianna (Brett), Samantha (Ross), Sophia, Anthony, Samuel, and Olivia (Landry); six great-grandchildren; his sister, Raquel (Juan); and many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
A service of remembrance will be held at South Park Funeral Home, 1310 N. Main St, Pearland, TX 77581, with interment following the service.
