Mr. Oscar Gonzalez's Obituary
Oscar Gonzalez, 65, born in Corpus Christi, 9/6/1947, died suddenly December 12, 2012. Beloved, fun-loving, and corny joke teller, Oscar will be missed by may friends and family. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Lupita Gonzalez and sons Mark Gonzalez and wife Theresa and newlywed son Michael Gonzalez and wife Brandi. Other survivors include his brother Abram and beloved sister-in-law Modesta. Oscar was predeceased by parents Guadalupe and Socorro Gonzales, sister Matilde and brothers Antonio, Armando, Guadalupe Jr., and Pedro "Pete"
Gonzales. He is survived by many nieces and nephews. Also, missing him is his canine companion Penny who walked him around several times a day. Penny is very sad. Oscar served his country honorably in the U.S. Air Force in Korea, during the Pueblo Incident in 1968 and previously served in the Panama Canal Zone. He was also stationed in New Mexico after his return from Korea. He later served in the Army Reserve - Corps of Engineers in Pasadena, TX. He was employed over 30 years by Glidden Paint Co (Formerly ICI Paints)(Formerly Devoe Paints). He will be missed by many colleagues and customers. He previously worked for PPG Paints in Corpus Christi, Austin, and Houston, Texas. Oscar never knew a stranger. He was always ready to help anyone in need and thus made many friends wherever he went. He was loyal to his family, work and to his Houston sports teams.
