Mr. Oscar Fite Jr.'s Obituary
Oscar Fite Jr was born on March 4, 1939 to Oscar Fite Sr and Tennessee Butler in Carthage Texas. He was the ninth child of ten children. Oscar began his education in Carthage, Texas, graduated from Barstow High School, and completed his general carpentry training at Trade Tech in Los Angeles, California. He met Mary Alice Bowling at age 20 in Los Angeles and to their union three children was born. Oscar owned a general contracting business in Houston for over 40 years. His company was responsible for building several apartment complexes through out the city. He had a passion for mustangs and a real appreciation of life. He valued his family and friends. Leaving to cherish his memories are his wife, Mary; eldest son, Darryl (Rosalina) of Jakarta, Indonesia; only daughter, Tamanika of Houston, TX; and youngest son, Deven (LaKeisha) of Houston, TX; his nine grandchildren-Jarred, Kiara, Jazahra, Jayden, Treyvon Matthews, Tyrell Matthews, Deven II, Kamran and Brie Flucos; his four sisters: Flora Hurndon, Naomi Woods, Jewel Rachal, Nadine Jones, and one brother, Charles Fite all from California. He also leaves behind two Sister-in-laws; Doris of California, Virginia of Alabama, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers: John Sr, Irvin, Burnard, and Herchel.
