Orlando Rangel's Obituary
Orlando Rangel passed away on Wednesday September 8,2021 after a brief battle with an aggressive form of corona virus, he was 41. He was born November 7, 1979 in Houston, Texas to his parents Ruben and Angelina Rangel. He is preceded in death by both parents, brother Ramon Rangel and grandmother.
The world has lost a great son, Husband, brother, father, and leader. Being the youngest sibling of five, he had to quickly grow up and become a man at the age of 16 due to the passing of his father. Orlando was always a hard-worker, good-willing, hard-headed, brave, and humble man. He was a high-spirited man who loved to celebrate and humor everyone in the room with funny jokes or character phrases from iconic movies like Scarface or Friday. He was the life of the party, the heart of the family, and a father figure for many.
If you asked Orlando, about his greatest accomplishment it wasn’t materialistic things, or facing his demons to overcome obstacles. It was being a father. Orlando met his wife Maria Christina Cantu through a mutual friend, and it was love at first sight. He had the coolest personality for many who knew and respected him as a man. He knew how to socialize with everyone and tell stories as if was vividly coming to life as he was telling it. Full of energy throughout the day, he always had to stay occupied whether it be cleaning the house, working on the yard, adding upgrades to the house, or just going out to spend time with his wife and kids. He always knew how to make an entrance and lighten the mood. He will be greatly missed by all.
He is survived by his wife Maria Christina Rangel, children Ruben Rangel II, Bianca Marlen Rangel, Samantha Christine Rangel, Angelina Esmeralda Rangel & Mariah Clarissa Rangel. Sisters Maria Juanita Rangel, Maria Sylvia Rangel, Maria Esperanza Rangel, and nieces & nephews.
Serving as pallbearers will be his son Ruben Rangel II, nephews Ricky Ray Tijerina, Justin Alexander Tijerina, Baudel Casanova III, cousins Francisco Javier Celedon, Juan Carlos Celedon, Eddie Segura, friends Jeremy Rosales & Peterson Ransom. 2 Timothy 4:7-8
“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that Day, and not only to me but also to all who have loved his appearing.”
