Mr. Ord Ford Strickler III's Obituary
On Sunday, February 10, 2019, Ord Ford Strickler III loving father of 3 children, passed away at the age of 82.
Ford was born on September 13, 1936 in Houston Texas to Ford and Gladys Strickler. Ford was an Electrician Foreman for over 30 years and supervised many projects, one that stands out was the United Space Alliance (USA) building project for NASA. On December 19, 1961 Ford married the love of his life Margot Magdalena in Munich Germany while stationed in the Army. They raised two sons Peter and Markus, and adopted his daughter Ines with whom he fell in love with at first sight.
Ford had a passion for so many things, he was most proud of being a 32nd Degree Mason. He loved fishing and hunting, loved working with his BBQ team, he loved doing charity work, dancing and having a beer with his friends. My father was admired by many and known for his generous heart, quick wit and his infectious smile.
Survived by his 3 children, Ines, Pete and Markus and his 2 granddaughters Ariella and Taylor. Ford belonged to the following Organizations : VFW-#4709 Conroe TX., American Legion, Willis TX., 32nd Degree Masonic Lodge #935 Munich Germany, Scottish Rite Houston, TX., Arabian Temple (Shriners) Houston, TX., Montgomery County Fair Association, Bass Masters Fishing Club, North American Hunting Club, NRA Life and Patron Member, Sheriffs Association of TX., Past Committeeman Houston Livestock and Rodeo.
Funeral Service will be held on Monday, February 18, 2019 at 2:00 PM, burial will follow. All services will be held at South Park Funeral Home and Cemetery at 1310 N. Main St. Pearland, TX. 77581
