Mrs. Opal Beryl Wuensch's Obituary
Opal Beryl Wuensch, 86 years old, of Houston, TX, passed away on February 26, 2014.She was born in Rising Star, TX on June 25, 1927 to Lester Scott and Georgia Reynolds Richardson. Opal graduated from San Marcos Baptist Academy and two years of Baylor University before returning to Houston, TX to marry Butch Wuensch. Opal and Butch built a life together in a quiet Southeast Houston Garden Villas home, where they raised their four children, Bobby, Maureen, Andy and Marianne. Opal was a career secretary at Line Material until the development and success of Wuensch Sales Company. Opal and Butch enjoyed a weekend home in Sea Isle on Galveston Island. The beach house was a joy for family, friends, shelling and fishing. Opal was known for her kindness, selflessness, wisdom and infectious laughter. Opal was a lady of integrity who loved God, loved her Butch and loved all her "babies"! She is survived by her sister, Senette Parker; her children: Bobby Wuensch and his wife, Donna; Maureen Varnes and her husband, Bobby; Andrew Wuensch; Marianne Gignac and her husband, Tony; her grandchildren: Kim and Jeff Girouard, Kevin and Michelle Varnes, Kristen and Patrick Mikhail, David Wuensch and Matthew Burney, Cody and Heather Matthews, Zach Wuensch, Alex and Mario Vega, Bethany Gignac, Amber Gignac; great-grandchildren: Jordyn, Kendal, Skyler, Jonathan, J.J., Hudson, her namesake Kylee Opal, Lucas, Tucker, and Noah. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; grandson, Jonathan Edward Wuensch; brothers and sisters. A Celebration of Life will be held March 8, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. At South Park Funeral Home 1310 North Main St., Pearland, TX 77581.
