Mrs. Opal D. "Cricket" Tinker's Obituary
Opal D. "Cricket" Tinker, born February 23, 1923 in Black Hills, TX to George Grady and Beulah J. Poarch, entered into rest April 15, 2011 in Pearland, TX. Mrs. Tinker is preceded in death by her husband, Wylie V. Tinker and two infant sons. Her survivors include her children, Judy Wallace, Deborah Brown, and Rick Tinker and his wife Tina; four grandchildren, Janet Wallace Leone and husband Shaun, Jill Wallace Jones and husband Chad, Leslie Brown Crawford and husband Kevin, and Jeffrey D. Brown and wife Kimberly Samuels Brown; six great grandchildren, Brooke Leone, Brittney Leone, Reagan Jones, Jackson Jones, Kayden Crawford, and Kylie Brown. For 17 years, Mrs. Tinker worked at Rick Tinker Insurance Company and she has been a member of Sagemont Church since 1979. The family will receive visitors Monday, April 18, 2011, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at SouthPark Funeral Home. A service of remembrance will be held Tuesday, April 19, 2011, at 10 a.m. in the chapel of SouthPark Funeral Home. Interment to follow at SouthPark Cemetery.
