Onita Wray Parker's Obituary
Onita Wray Parker, age 87, passed away Thursday, February 22, 2024 after a long courageous battle with Alzheimer’s disease. She was born on January 25, 1937 in Jonesville, Louisiana to Cloyd and Maggie Wray. She was married on May 28, 1955 to Jesse Parker who preceded her in death in 2010. Jesse and Nita moved to Pearland, Texas in 1962 to raise their family. Nita worked in a surgeon's office in the Texas Medical Center followed by twenty years as a dental assistant in a pediatric dental office. She was an excellent floral designer and seamstress. She enjoyed helping friends and family with beautiful floral arrangements and wedding decor as well as alterations on wedding dresses and other attire.
Nita is survived by son, Jeff Parker and wife Carla, daughter Jeanne Davidson along with three grandsons, Scott Parker and wife Kasey, Justin Parker and wife Kelly and Keith Davidson and wife Cam. She also had five great grandchildren, Kaden Carter, Sebastian Monceaux, Emma Parker, Charlotte Parker and Claire Davidson. She is also survived by several sister in laws and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express our thanks for the wonderful help and care given by The Heritage of Clear Lake and Faith Community Hospice. A private memorial will be held in Louisiana at a later date.
