The last thing Olivia said to me was “I love you”
I knew Olivia for about 31 years. I am her neighbor across the street. We had fabulous times every day. She came and visit me every day we drink coffee, we ate breakfast, lunch and dinner together. We celebrated birthdays. We barbecue in my backyard, we made tamales in Christmas every year. She helped me with my yard and plants. We took care of each others pets. We watched movies, sports and drink our coffee, wine or beer. We took care of each other. I’m missing you Olivia.
Our guardian angel is now in heaven! We love you Tia! Tia watched over Gabriela and the rest of us! She was so kind to everyone and loved her pets and to joke and make us laugh! I hope you are enjoying some wine and margaritas! We miss you and love you very much!

I knew Olivia for 31 years, since I was five years old. She was the neighbor across the street, and I still remember the day we met her. Olivia had a spirited kindness that stayed with her throughout her life. My daughter loved every moment spent with her. Less than a year ago, I was struck by her remarkable strength as she lifted my daughter into the air. It’s in a moment captured in the photo I included here.
My greatest memories were always Christmas midnight mass, and watching you work in the flower beds. May you know be surrounded by beautiful flowers and birds now mom.
