Chị Oanh is one of the wonderful people I have had privilege to meet in life. We were introduced to each others through one common friend, and soon Oanh accepted me to be one of her BFFs. I have never considered Oanh as only a friend of mine, indeed I treasured her as a big sister. She’s smart, lovely and generous; and the most important was she has always treated people with respects and kindness. I appreciated the time Oanh and I studied together in Melbourne, and she helped me a lot as well as provided me with emotional support when I needed it the most. She was the very few people to whom I could trust and confessed my feelings. She adorably called me “Mèo” as she always pictured me as “Garfield”. The soon she moved to the USA she bought an Orange jacket and sent it to me as a gift. She told me that she saw the jacket she had thought of me as a little “Garfield” and that would make her smile. I have kept the jacket till today because it reminds me how thoughtful she was, and I could also sense her happiness. Chị Oanh is not only a friend, but also a close family member to me.
P/S: Dearest chị Oanh, I hope the angels are treating you well in heaven. The fight is over now and your battle has been won.
You always know I could be very emotional; and I’m not the person who can commonly confess the feeling to others. I hope you know how grateful I am for everything you had done for me. Your courage inspired me and your determination motivated me. I will forever cherish the memories we had done together.
Goodbye sister! One day we will meet again in heaven, and this time I will shout you a Nando meal I promise.
With love from Melbourne, Australia!
