Mrs. Norma Earline Cole Hardesty's Obituary
Norma Earline Cole Hardesty was born on January 8, 1936. She went home to be with the Lord on September 7, 2011. Earline was a loving, caring, and faithful wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, mother-in-law, sister-in-law, and friend. She always thought of others before herself. Earline was born in Anson, Texas, but, because her father's occupation was road construction, the family moved around. They finally settled in La Marque where Earline went to high school. In the tenth grade she met Robert Lee "Bobby" Hardesty and they married shortly thereafter. They lived in Texas City for a short time before moving to their house on Almeda Genoa Road in 1959. In 1969, they purchased a lot in the newly developed Lake Livingston area; they built "the lake house" there and divided their time between the two houses.
During her working years Earline was a hairdresser, and she owned a beauty shop for many years. Her hobbies include reading, growing vegetables, traveling in the RV with Bobby, and taking care of her family and dogs. She was a great cook, and her specialties included crispy fried chicken, scrumptious banana pudding, and yummy earthquake cake. Earline is survived by her devoted husband of 58 years, Bobby Hardesty; her son Robert Hardesty (Jean Ann); and her grandchildren, Robert Rotruck, Adam (Hannah) Rotruck, Lauren (Fred) Tagle, Joy (Pascal) Martin, and Colin Hardesty. She will be fondly remembered by Peggy Rogillio, Patsy Haynie, Dale Rotruck, (Connie), and her nieces, nephews and friends.
She is now in Heaven with those who went before her: parents, David Earl and Bernice Lorenda Burks Cole; infant daughter, Linda Sue; daughter, Leann Rotruck; infant grandson, Steven Hardesty; mother-in-law Myrtle Almeta Hardesty Jacob; and brother-in-law, Allen Haynie.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial donations be made in honor of Earline to a charity of your choice:

Her family was her main priority, and we were truly blessed to have her in our lives. Earline will be missed by all of us who loved her and whom she loved. "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." Matthew 11:25
