Noe Vega's Obituary
Obituary for Noe Vega "El Noné"
Beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend departed this earth on October 2, 2024, at the age of 66. He was born in General Terán, N.L., Mexico, to Enrique and Mercedes.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Maria Dolores, his parents, Enrique and Mercedes, his father and mother-in-law, Rabi and Zoila Reyes, sister-in-law, Maria Christina Sanchez, and brother-in-law Jackie D. Keen.
He is survived by his children, Monika Turner (Keith), Eric Vega (Marlene), John Paul Vega (Amairany), Nicholas Noe Vega (Yazmin), and grandchildren: Adalee, Alison, Amylee, Mateo, Tomás and Elias.
He came to the United States as a teenager and worked throughout the country before settling in South Houston, Texas. He met the love of his life, Maria Dolores “Lola,” at El Capitán movie theater and they married in April of 1983. One of his proudest accomplishments was building the house of his dreams for his wife and family.
Noe will be remembered as a hardworking man who spent the majority of his professional career as a welder. He tirelessly helped others when needed and was known for telling it like it was without hesitation. As a food enthusiast, he enjoyed traditional Mexican cooking and spent long hours perfecting his delicious recipes. In the late 90s, out of love for BBQ, he started a small catering service and built the BBQ pits himself. He was an avid fan of boxing, action movies, music and enjoyed the great outdoors. He was also a faithful member of El Buen Pastor Methodist Church in Houston, TX.
Later in life, his greatest passion was spending time with his grandchildren. He would take them to the beach, park and to get ice cream.
We love you Pap and we know you are resting with mom in the Kingdom of Heaven.
