Mrs. Nita Whitten Sanchez's Obituary
Nita Whitten-Sanchez, 72, a long time resident of Angleton and most recently a resident of Pearland, entered into eternal rest on Monday April 25th with family by her side after a long and courageous battle with pneumonia.
Nita was born to the late Narciso and Celinstina Mangrobang in Manila, Philippines on November 13, 1938. She graduated from High School in the Philippines and in 1983 received her nursing degree from Brazosport College. Nita was a dedicated, caring and passionate nurse for almost three decades who worked with the elderly and Alzheimer patients. She also volunteered her time during Hurricane Katrina and Hurricane Ike to assist and provide care for displaced storm victims.
Nita is survived by her children; Linda Garza of Angleton; Ross Whitten and partner Laurie Delgatto of Spring; and Natasha Whitten-Strickland and spouse Jason Strickland of Pearland as well as her four grandchildren; Imelda Garza, Kase Whitten, and Lauren and Jessica Strickland. She is also survived by her siblings; Conchita Adames of Angleton and Rolando Mangrobang of Houston as well as three sisters who reside in the Philippines.
Visitation will be held on Thursday April 28th from 4PM-8PM at South Park Funeral Home located at 1310 North Main Street, Pearland 77581. Funeral services will be held on Friday April 29th at 3PM also at South Park Funeral Home.
