Ngozi Clarence Emenike's Obituary
Ngozi “Ngo” Clarence Emenike (Nee Iwuanyanwu) was a passionately caring wife, mother, sister, and friend. Ngo was the first child of Late Mr Festus and Mrs Blessing Iwuanyanwu of Amawo, Atta in Ikeduru L.G.A. Imo State, Nigeria. She was the first of eight children. Although Ngo was born in Lagos Nigeria on June 20th 1967, her chidhood was mostly in the East of Nigeria. While her father worked in the famous Nkalagu Cement Factory, she went to primary school there and would later attend Atta Girls Secondary School. Ngo attended University of PortHarcourt where she received a bachelor degree in theater Artist.
Ngozi Emenike's love of life didn’t come to an end with her death. Ngo passed away on March 8th 2021 at the age of 53, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honor her legacy by living their lives to the fullest.
Ngo worked in Offshore Food Catering Industries in Port Harcourt for 12 years, before coming to the United States in 1996, where she met and married her husband Henry in 1996. They are blessed with three wonderful children, Osinachi Grant(22),Noble(21)and Chloe(19). Ngo shared her passion for life with her family, and friends. The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to her. Ngo was fearless in expressing her joy in life. In 2003 Ngo decided that she would take her kids to Nigeria and she did for about 10 years. She would say "even if i have to sell pepper.I will survive." She ended up creating a business brand in Cosmetics & Beauty industry through her Company (Hair Avenue & beauty Palace) called Dachi Hair & Rence Exposure. She used her skills and talent to create abstract Arts and Paintings of beautiful things all around her. Ngo kept her hands busy, always working on one project or another. She had talent and energy to bring out beauty from broken people and objects. Last to go to bed and first to wake up. “Wake up, sleeping is for the dead "she would always say. Her favorite thing was entertaining friends with delicious meals at home, laughing and playing around. And if you din't show up for dinner Ngo would package the meal and personally deliver it to you in your home. She loved to make everyone around her happy as though it was her responsibility.
Last year during the Covid 19 lock-down in her Residence in Port Harcourt, she took it upon herself to decorate the entire neighborhood environment with plants and flowers, leaving everywhere looking rich and beautiful.
Ngozi has an uncanny ability to find happiness in her daily activities.
Her pleasant personality was contagious to everyone she met.
Ngo is survived by husband, Henry, two sons, Osinachi and Noble, a daughter, Chloe, mother,( Blessing), sister, Ebere and five brothers. Nnamdi, Kennedy, Chudi, Ifeanyi, and Ike.
