Mrs. Nedra Mayfield Smith's Obituary
OBITUARY
Nedra Franchester Mayfield Smith was born to Morris Mayfield Sr. and Bennie White Mayfield on October 29, 1957. Nedra was baptized and accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior.
On February 28, 1989 she married Edward ‘Ed’ Michael Smith and their loving union celebrated 30 years of marriage.
Nedra worked as a flight attendant for United Airlines formerly Continental Airlines for 30 years. She had a passion for fashionable hats. As a result her husband started a boutique called My Baby Hats in 2003. Nedra shared Christ with everyone she met while in the air or selling her hats.
The Lord welcomed Nedra into his kingdom on July 27, 2019. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Ben and Jessie White. Nedra leaves to mourn, her loving husband Edward M. Smith, mother Bennie Mayfield, Brother Morris Mayfield Jr., and Sister Cynthia Thornton. Uncles Jerry White, Tyrus White and Edward Stanley. Aunts Charlotte Richardson, Arnethia White, Wanda Webb, and Deborah White; brother in law David Smith, and Kevin Davis, sisters in law Bernadette Scott and Kimberly Davis.
In addition to four nephews, Morris III, Oliver (Mickie), Robert and Anthony; four nieces, Chrissie, Kezia, Stacey, and Ja’nee. Lastly, a host of great nieces, great nephews, cousins, sistah girlfriends and friends.
