Naomi Rose Morris' Obituary
Naomi Rose Morris, age 80 passed away on March 17, 2020 in Alvin Texas. Rose was born on June 5, 1939 in Abilene Texas and was a resident of the Pearland/Alvin area for the last 46 years. Since Lee served in the Army and then was an employee of the airlines, they raised their boys all over Texas and even for a time in Germany! She was a member of the Westside Church of Christ in Pearland. Rose was preceded in death by her loving husband, Elbert Lee Morris; parents, William Bishop and Ardenia Mae Bishop; by her sisters, Violet Hayes, Maxine McDonald, Billie McMullen, and Mary Westmoreland.
Rose is survived by her children, Richard Morris and wife Cindy, Robert Morris and wife Kathy, Stephen Morris and wife Peronda; 7 grandchildren, Joshua Morris, Jessica Mannon, Jennifer Morris, Cameron Morris, Scott Morris, Shayna Morris and Deidra Morris; 8 great grandchildren; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Rose loved her Lord and served Him faithfully for the majority of her life. She was an amazing example of a Godly wife caring for Lee in their home until his death and Godly mother and grandmother, loving and praying for her family until she went home to be with her Lord. Rose was also an incredible cook and artist, enjoying a large variety of artistic expressions such as painting, crocheting, jewelry making, embroidery and her last obsession 5D Diamond Painting. She loved creating her masterpieces almost as much as she loved giving them away!
Rose’s family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff of Evening Star Assisted Living Home in Alvin for their love and care of Rose for the last several years of her life and for allowing her to be at “home” in her last days surrounded by people who loved her.
