Mrs. Nancy Murphy's Obituary
Nancy Kolody Wheeler Murphy was born October 4, 1925 in Bellis, Alberta, Canada. She passed away on May 11, 2014 and was 88 years old. She met LM Wheeler, who was in the Air Force stationed in Edmondon, Alberta at a dance, married and moved to Texas in 1945.
Nancy worked at Continental Can Company for 32 years. She loved to work, cook and water ski. She crotched and made quilts for her family.
Nancy is preceded in death by LM Wheeler in 1973 and her beloved son, Wayne Fred Wheeler in 2005.
She met and later married Hollis Murphy on January 25, 1976. Nancy was a strong person who friends and family could depend upon. She loved to laugh which was often contagious. She lived a good life and will be missed.
"Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she laughs at the time to come. She opens her mouth with wisdom and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue. She looks well to the ways of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness." Proverbs 31: 25-30.
Nancy is survived by her husband, Hollis Murphy, daughter, Sharun and Charlie Houston of Milano, TX. Her granddaughter, Kelly Lynn and Gary Baker of Spicewood, TX; four grandchildren, Kevin and Stephanie Baker of Dallas, TX, Lauren and Roye Strawn of Pearland, TX, Jennifer Baker and Tiffany Baker of Spicewood, TX. She is also survived by 3 great grandchildren.
