Mrs. Myrle Yates Shinault's Obituary
Myrle Yates Shinault, 91, of Houston passed away on Monday, January 5, 2015. She was born on January 2, 1924 to Leonard and Tinnie Yates in Groesbeck, Texas. She graduated from Coolidge High School in 1941 and met and married L.B. Shinault in 1942. After moving to the Houston area in 1956 she attended Lee College in Baytown. She worked at various jobs throughout her career, including Johnson Space Center from which she retired in 1989. Myrle was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and three sisters. She is survived by one brother, Clarence Yates; one sister, Mary Ruth Brown; one son, Ken Shinault and Ruth Cook, one daughter, Linda Shinault Dorsey and husband Cecil; three grand-children, Suzy Shinault McConathy, Mark Dorsey and Ryan Dorsey; four great grand-children and six great- great grand-children. The family will be present to receive friends on Friday, January 9, 2015 from 11:00am until service time at 12:30pm in the Chapel of Southpark Funeral Home, 1310 North Main St., Pearland, TX 77581.
