Mrs. Morgene "Jean" Lina's Obituary
Morgene “Jean” (Wright) Lina of Pasadena, Texas passed away Saturday, April 21, 2018 at the age of 86 in Lake Jackson, Texas surrounded by her husband and children.
She was born on Monday, May 25 in Fort Worth, Texas to Jack and Helen Wright. She graduated from St. Mary’s Academy in 1950.
Jean met the love of her life, Herald Lina, while working at Kress’s Department Store in Austin, Texas. They married September 3, 1950, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church and have enjoyed a full life together and with their 8 children. They were members of St. Augustine Catholic Church for 57 years where she served as organist, a Eucharistic minister, and a member of the women’s guild.
She was an amazing woman, strong in her faith and dedicated to taking care of her family.
She is survived by her loving husband, Herald Lina, of 67 years and her children Ron Lina (Edwige), Barbara Bonar (Paul), Tom Lina (Caren), Charles Lina (Ellen), Mary Hobbs (Dale), Catherine Suttie (Mike), and Elizabeth Turner (Craig). She also was blessed with 18 grandchildren; 21 Great Grandchildren; and 2 Great, Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents Jack and Helen Wright and her daughter Theresa Rose Lina. We are comforted to know she is looking down on us from Heaven and is with Theresa and her extended family.

Services will be held on Friday, April 27, 2018 at St. Augustine’s Catholic Church, 5560 Laurel Creek Way, Houston, TX 77017. Viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m., with Mass at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at South Park Cemetery.
