Monty (Sonny) was born in Bay City, Tx on June 30, 1939. Monty W. (Sonny) Callaway, 84, of Pearland & Lake Jackson, TX passed away on Monday January 8, 2024.
Funeral arrangements under the direction of South Park funeral home in Pearland, Tx Visitation will be held on Thursday January 25,2024 from 4-5pm for family and all others from 5-8 pm. The funeral service will be held at 2 pm Friday January 26, 2024. Burial will be following the service. Robert Whitfield will be officiating.
Monty (Sonny) graduated from Austin High School in Houston, Tx. Monty (Sonny) was married to Lynda Gail Beard on June 9,1961. They were married for 62 years. Monty (Sonny) owned Master Plumbing Contractors Inc. for 30 years. He enjoyed canoeing, fishing and hunting. he was actively involved in Pearland Little league for many years. Monty (Sonny) is survived by his wife Lynda and three children - Montie, Anthony and William. Grandchildren - Paul Rokohl, Brittney Callaway, Hannah Bernard and Brett Leblanc Numerous great grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews. Monty (Sonny) is preceded in death by his parents, Alton and Carleigh Callaway, brother Carl Callaway, sister Pam Callaway and grandson James Ryan Rokohl. Pallbearers will be: Anthony Callaway - son William Callaway - son Dean Newhouse - son in law Paul Rokohl - grandson Lance Beard - nephew Jay Beard - nephew Eulogy by: Seve Vidal - nephew
