Mrs. Miriam Gertrude Kimball's Obituary
Miriam Gertrude Kimball was born March 10, 1929 to E.C. and Sarah White. She went to be with our Lord Jesus Christ November 13, 2009 peacefully with her family at her side. She grew up with her brother Paul in Louisiana and Houston, Texas. She married Emmett Donald Kimball in 1948 and they moved to Friendswood in a few short years. She remained a devoted wife to him after his death in 1988. She and "Don" were charter members of the First Baptist Church Friendswood and helped build the buildings in 1956. She retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone after more than 30 years service.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband and brother. Miriam "Momoo" leaves behind Donnita Bankston and husband Ralph, David Kimball, Doug Kimball and wife Shari, and Duane Kimball and wife Suzan; 10 grandkids, 8 great grandkids; Sister-in-law Willa Jean White; Nephew Bruce White; nieces Sheila Wernli and Paula Pennington; and many, many friends that will all miss her.
She understood that when you put Jesus Christ first, everything else comes with it.
The family will receive visitors from 5 pm to 8 pm Wednesday, November 18, 2009, at SouthPark Funeral Home, 1310 N. Main St. in Pearland. A service of remembrance will be held at 11 am Thursday, November 19, 2009, at First Baptist Church Friendswood, 111 East Heritage Dr. Interment will follow at SouthPark Cemetery.
