In Loving Memory of Miriam Elizabeth Galindo Carrillo
Miriam Elizabeth Galindo Carrillo entered eternal rest on February 23, 2025, at the age
of 67. She was born on September 25, 1957, in Tiquisate, Guatemala, to Porfirio de
Jesus Carrillo and Etelvina del Carmen Galdamez de Carrillo.
Miriam was a woman of immense love, strength, and unwavering devotion to her family.
On March 12, 1976, she married Marco Galindo in Guatemala City, Guatemala,
beginning a lifelong journey together filled with love, faith, and dedication. As a wife,
mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Miriam built a home filled with warmth,
kindness, and the comforting aroma of home-cooked meals.
She had a gift for cooking, finding great joy in the kitchen, where she poured her love
into every dish she prepared. Whether it was a simple family meal or a festive
gathering, Miriam’s cooking brought people together, creating cherished memories
around the table.
Beyond the home, fishing was her passion. She found peace in the stillness of the
water, patience in the wait, and joy in the reward. Fishing was more than a pastime—it
was a reflection of her character: calm, resilient, and full of wisdom.
Above all, Miriam’s heart belonged to God and her family. She is survived by her
beloved husband, Marco Galindo; her daughter, Mabel Galindo; her sons, Marco, Saul,
Edwin, and Christian; her sisters, Priscila Bustillo, Aidee Benítez, and Martha Márquez;
her brothers, Joel Carrillo, Efraín Carrillo, and Neri Carrillo; her 14 grandchildren and 6
great-grandchildren.
She is now reunited in heaven with her father, Porfirio Carrillo, her mother, Etelvina
Carrillo, and her brother, Porfirio Carrillo, who preceded her in death.
Miriam's kindness, faith, and love leave a lasting legacy. The strength and courage she
displayed in her final moments worshiping God gives us an example of the woman she
was in life. Although she is no longer physically with us, the love she gave us and the
lessons she shared will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
While we grieve her passing, we take comfort in knowing that she is at peace,
embraced by the love of God and those who went before her. She will be dearly missed
but never forgotten.

Miriam Elizabeth Galindo Carrillo entró en el descanso eterno el 23 de febrero de 2025,
a la edad de 67 años. Nació el 25 de septiembre de 1957 en Tiquisate, Guatemala, hija
de Porfirio de Jesús Carrillo y Etelvina del Carmen Galdamez de Carrillo.
Miriam era una mujer de inmenso amor, fortaleza y devoción inquebrantable a su
familia. El 12 de marzo de 1976, se casó con Marco Galindo en la Ciudad de
Guatemala, y comenzaron juntos un viaje de toda la vida lleno de amor, fe y dedicación.
Como esposa, madre, abuela y bisabuela, Miriam construyó un hogar lleno de calidez,
amabilidad y el reconfortante aroma de las comidas caseras.
Tenía un don para la cocina y encontraba gran alegría en la cocina, donde derramaba
su amor en cada plato que preparaba. Ya fuera una simple comida familiar o una
reunión festiva, la cocina de Miriam unía a la gente y creaba recuerdos preciados
alrededor de la mesa.
Más allá del hogar, la pesca era su pasión. Ella encontraba paz en la quietud del agua,
paciencia en la espera y alegría en la recompensa. La pesca era más que un

sobreviven su amado esposo, Marco Galindo; su hija, Mabel Galindo; sus hijos, Marco,
Saul, Edwin y Christian; sus hermanas, Priscila Bustillo, Aidee Benítez y Martha
Márquez; sus hermanos, Joel Carrillo, Efraín Carrillo y Neri Carrillo; sus 14 nietos y 6
bisnietos.
Ahora está reunida en el cielo con su padre, Porfirio Carrillo, su madre, Etelvina
Carrillo, y su hermano, Porfirio Carrillo, quien la precedió en la muerte.
La bondad, la fe y el amor de Miriam dejan un legado duradero. La fortaleza y el valor
que mostró en sus últimos momentos al adorar a Dios nos dan un ejemplo de la mujer
que fue en vida. Aunque ya no está físicamente con nosotros, el amor que nos dio y las
lecciones que compartió vivirán en los corazones de quienes la conocieron.
