Mr. Miguel Garcia's Obituary
Miguel Garcia, 54, was born and lived in Houston Texas, He lived his last four years in Lamesa Texas. He played football and graduated from South Houston High School, Class of 1981. He attended San Jacinto College where he studied Drafting and Autocad. He worked in the Petrochem industry as a Pipe designer (Piper) for over 30 years. Mike never married and had no children. Mike and Tio Joe (Joseph Garcia) lived together in Lamesa Texas for the last 4 years. His Hobbies included he enjoyed playing with his Nephews and Nieces and great Nephews and great Nieces. He enjoyed staying up late talking to Mom and Dad, he always like to talk about “The good old days”. He liked telling jokes but he would laugh so hard that he couldn’t get to the punch line. He also had a BIG heart. He would do anything for anybody. He would enjoy taking his family out to dinner or make dinner at home for everyone. He always enjoyed having everyone together. Mike also enjoyed making gardens, planting fruit trees, fishing and cooking like “Emeril”.
Mike is preceded in death by his father Placido C. Garcia. He is survived by his mother Esperanza Garcia, brother David Garcia, wife Ana, sister Matilda Martinez, husband Rene, and sister Gloria Ayala, husband Greg. Nephews and Nieces are Patrick, Jonathan, Justin, Joseph (Joey) Gilbert, Desiree, Elisa, Angelica, Gabriela (Bella), and Marissa (Small), Great Nephews and Great Nieces are Jason, Joel, Gerardo, Landon, Jaydon, Savanah, and Jayme.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 28, 2018 from 5PM to 9PM. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, March 1, 2018 at 10AM. All services will be held at SouthPark Funeral Home & Cemetery.
