His first words to me were welcome to Houston darling as I walked thru the computer room doors.. he had a heart of gold and a spirit to match. Rest easy now my friend we have it from here..

As a coworker with Mike I always remember him as a caring, nice guy. He will be missed.
When the Des Moines and Texas Operations teams merged, I remember my 1st call to the Texas Computer room. It was Mike that answered. Had I dialed the wrong number, I would have easily been able to guess I reached a true, blue Texan. His accent was so think, it took me a while to get used to. What stood out about Mike to me was his over the top pleasant disposition. His voice was always so full of energy and appreciation. Those that have known Mike for years regularly mention what a unique soul he was. In the short time I knew Mike, I was able to see it too. That's how you SHOULD live your life, blaze your own trail and become your own person. Mike was the epitome of that!
Thankful I got the chance to know him.
Mike, You will be missed by so many. I will always remember your generous spirit and happy smile. you were always calm in the roughest storms. It has been a great honor to work with you. We will always remember you.
It was my pleasure to have worked with Mike on three of his career locations over a span of at least 35 of those years. We met at the Cap Bank building in Baton Rouge on Lobdell Blvd. He called me at 3:30 AM and said my files are ready and that he had a cup of coffee ready when i arrived. What a first impression he made. Then he moved to my city in Beaumont Tx for a few years and we often had coffee and even discussed coffee. As Bubba Gump was to Shrimp, Mike was to coffee. When he moved to the Houston data center, I always tried to make sure i was there at a time where I could have a shot of coffee.
I pray for the family and friends that they find peace and joy in remembrance of his life knowing that he has found the ultimate peace and joy in paradise.
My condolences to Mike's family and friends.
I remember him walking into work carrying his clock and pyramid. He was one of a kind and will be missed as one of the Westheimer Fiserv family members.
Many years of great memories that made Fiserv an enjoyable place to work.
Rest in Peace, my friend. You will not be forgotten.
My deepest condolences to the Watkins family. Mike as we referred to him at Fiserv will surely be missed. I can't ever recall a time i didn't see a gentle smile on his face. May his soul rest in the arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! May God be with you all during this time of sorrow.
Many Blessings
