Michael Bret Lindamood's Obituary
Michael “Mike” Bret Lindamood, age 69, of Pearland, Texas passed away in his home surrounded by loved ones on December 10, 2021 after a long battle with cancer.
Michael was born on June 14, 1952 to parents Ralph and Frances Lindamood in Brownsville, Texas and spent his childhood in Sweeny and Bay City. He attended Texas A&M University before graduating from University of Houston with a Bachelor’s of Science in Engineering and Technology. Michael worked in the oil industry until the late 1980’s when he became a paramedic for Fort Bend County. After gaining years of experience and training, he began teaching Paramedicine to EMTs at San Jacinto Community College and RC Health Services.
Michael was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed traveling, spending time with family and friends, watching and playing golf, playing games like Mahjong, and both helping and cheering on his grandkids. He volunteered with Family Promise, providing solutions to homelessness, through First United Methodist Church in Missouri City for many years. Michael loved teaching and was always willing to help others. Michael never met a stranger and was always up for a chat to learn more about you.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Frances Lindamood and his brother Todd Lindamood. He is survived by his loving wife Teresa Lindamood along with his children and their spouses; Michelle Bentley and her husband Steven, Chandra Goodman and her husband Clayton, Amanda Rivera and her husband Bobby, Jeff Tullos and his wife Andrea; nine grandchildren, Sasha and Nadya Golovine, Allison Goodman, Regan and Robby Rivera, & Bryan, Kirby, Mason, and Lacy Tullos. He also leaves behind three siblings; Caryl Lindamood, Steve Lindamood, and Nina Arnold, extended family members, and many other friends including those in his local, church, and EMT communities.
A memorial service will be held Friday, December 17, 2021 at 3pm at First United Methodist Church in Missouri City located at 3900 Lexington Blvd, Missouri City, TX 77459. Donations can be made in Michael’s honor to Family Promise of Fort Bend.
