As a child Michael was hard to miss. His personality was just as bright as his blue eyes; his presence as soft as his squishy little cheeks. Often referred to as Mookie by his parents and siblings. From his youngest years Mikey had a knack for bringing excitement and laughter into every situation. His smile was full of genuine truth. Into his teen years Mikey picked up a guitar which would turn into a lifelong love of strumming his favorite songs; some he even composed himself. It did not matter if he had an audience or was alone with himself he found true contentment in playing his instrument. This talent became something he was well known for. Mikey could be found at the beach catching as much surf as he could or on his longboard cruising for as long as the day would let him. Everything Michael was passionate about was done with a perfectionists’ drive. Mikey frequently talked about living in a van by the beach with his guitar, somewhere in California where the weather is always great. He dreamed of adventures seeing himself like the Dogtown and Z-Boys.During this time of his life is when he would meet his sweetheart and unbeknownst to him he would later marry. Approaching adulthood Mikey started to hone in on his talents as a mechanic. Which was driven by his love for motorcycles. He then worked side by side with his parents in their business for many years. Eventually Mikey became a father and in his best state of mind he was loving and gentle;as well as playful and kind. He deeply wanted and yearned for meaningful connections with his children and everyone he loved. Michael also found his way back to his childhood love, who he married and spent the last decade of his life building a family with. Through his trials and tribulations of life Michael never experienced a lack of support and love. He was always surrounded by people who valiantly fought for him to be the greatest version of himself. To be loved by Michael meant to be loved to the extreme; which is the essence of who he is. This will always be carried with such gratitude by the people he left behind and from the innocent hearts of all of his children.
