Mr. Michael Oliver Crowe's Obituary
Michael Oliver Crowe, Sr., 83, of Katy, peacefully left his earthly body on August 1, 2019 and was reunited with his wife Libbye, who died in Christ four years ago. He retired from route sales after 30 years with Rainbo Baking Company in 1997 and continued to work part-time another 6 years. He was preceded in death by his wife Libbye, his parents W.L. and Clarite Crowe, and his son Gregory Alan Crowe. He is survived by sons Michael (Maureen) and Richard; daughter Darla; daughter-in-law Linda; grandchildren Shannon, Richard, Jr. (Lindy), Brittany, Gregory, Bryant, Jennifer (Bruce Bulgier), and Jessica (Jimmy Parks); great-grandchildren Kirk, Cole, and Olivia “Libbye” (coming soon); sisters Patricia (Andrew Cole) and Joan (D.L. Hendrex); brother James; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Mike thoroughly enjoyed all kinds of music, from classic country to anything Motown. As if four children weren’t enough, he liked having the neighborhood kids around (literally playing on the front lawn) and included extra kids many times on family outings to ball games, the beach, and numerous events that came through town. Mike and Libbye made their home a safe place for kids to have fun and feel included, many times not knowing they were doing just that.
The family wishes to thank Caydance Assisted Living and Vantage Hospice for the exceptional care given to Dad.
Visitation will be on Saturday, August 17, 2019 at 1:00 PM, with service following at 2:00 PM at South Park Funeral Home in Pearland. Interment will follow at South Park Cemetery.
