Mrs. Melba Lorene (White) Watson's Obituary
Melba Lorene (White) Watson, 77, of Houston, TX was born July 6, 1935 in Lufkin, TX and passed away April 15, 2013. Melba (Gie) was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved spending as much time as possible with her family, even adopting everyone with whom she came in contact. Her greatest pleasure in life was spoiling her babies. Gie is survived by her husband of 48 years Donald Watson (Pop), children Cindy Giamalva Scott, Oscar Giamalva, Cindy Bailly, Donna Lesh and Joyce Watson; sons-in-law Joe Lesh and Marc Bailly; Daughter-in-law, Stephanie Welch; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; siblings, Charlie Richard Lewis, Jackie Lee Lewis and Paula Ondruch, and numerous nieces, nephews, special relatives and friends. Gie was preceded in death by her father Harfrey Lee White and mother Frances Fairchild, Sister Syble Smith and niece Sonya Janell Wall. Pallbearers will be Aaron Scott, Michael Lonneke, P.J. Monakino, Wade Giamalva, D.J. Skarpa, and Tyler Muskiet. Honorary Pallbearers will be Donnie Scott, Sammy "Bubba" Scott, David Cimermancic, Tadd Kelley and Kenyata Roberts. The family will receive visitors Thursday, April 18, 2013, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at SouthPark funeral Home. A Service of Remembrance will be held Friday, April 19, 2013, at 12:30 p.m. in the Chapel of SouthPark Funeral Home with Pastor Bobby Ryan officiating. Interment to follow at SouthPark Cemetery.
