Ms Melba Ethel Mckee's Obituary
MCKEE Melba Pate McKee died Feb. 24, 2008. Born in Cushing, TX 10-16-16, Melba grew up in Nacogdoches and married Paul McKee in Center. She later moved to Houston as a young single mom to work as an artist and assistant for Marijo Robinson's Children's Photography. She went on to work for such Houston photographers as Kaye Marvins and Gittings, finally retiring from the Harris Johnston Studio. Melba enjoyed her later retirement years at The Terrace until her health declined. She was dearly loved by her family and will be greatly missed. Survivors include: daughter Marilee Lowery (Bob), grand-daughters Gaylynn Perrone, Robin Smith (Duane), Shelley Hayes (Darren). Great-grandchildren: Cameron & Patrick Smith, Annalee Perrone, Collin, Saylor and Kyle Hayes. Sisters: Marguerite Thomason and Gussie Lee Brocato and Charles. Several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sister Lucille Byerly and brother Christopher Pate.
