Mary Louise Thorp's Obituary
Mary Louise Thorp, 93, passed away on November 10, 2025 in Deer Park, Texas. She was born on February 24, 1932 in Houston, Texas, the daughter of Jack and Henrietta Holcombe.
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by Johnny E. Thorp, Sr., Chris Thorp, her son, and Jack and Henrietta Holcombe, her sister, Margie Marshall and husband Alvie; and her brother, Carl Holcombe.
Mary was married to Johnny E. Thorp, Sr., on August 12, 1950. She was employed by First Pasadena State Bank as a teller. She went on to become a licensed Realtor in Houston and Burnet, Texas.
Mary loved baking and working in her yard, water skiing and boating. Traveling, shopping at Chico’s, cheering for her favorite Houston Astros and Houston Texans. Mary loved having family and friends over for a meal and playing 42 until the wee hours of the morning. She was also always trying to win her hand at the slot machine.
Mary is survived by John https://E.Thorp, Jr. son, Cindy Thorp Niemeyer, daughter and her husband, Doug. Grandchildren, Steve Thorp and wife Kristin, Hayley Unverzagt Thorp; Jamie Niemeyer Wilson and husband Thomas, Krystle Mendoza and husband Stephen. Great grandchildren, Leah Thorp, Brayden Wilson, Anthony Mendoza and great-great grandson, Hudson Thorp.
