I just found out about Kay's passing - - more than a year later. I am so sorry I did not know sooner so I could attend her service. We were close growing up but the last I was able to visit with her was about 5years ago when she came to our house for lunch. I so enjoyed the visit and we agreed to meet again soon, but time flies by - - - regrettably. I would like to be in touch with Valerie or one of her other children. Valerie was a tiny baby when Kay was in James McFee & my wedding. Best wishes to James Shields and the family. Patti McFee

She was one of the strongest woman I know who instilled strength into all the ladies of our family. Someone I always looked up too and called for direction in life at times. Kay has left a living legacy in the lives of my children and all the children whose lives she touched over her time at School of the Woods, and her legacy extends even further through the lives of the children taught by the many Montessorians who were mentored by Kay through the Houston Montessori Center. Kay will be missed and never forgotten.
