I was truly honored when Mary asked me to type her manuscript re: Surviving Pearl Harbor. I finally completed it eight months later and gave it to her daughter. Mary and I chatted for many hours regarding her different roles at Pearl and it gave us a chance to really get to know each other and our families. I will surely miss those gab sessions,Mary, and I look forward to more of those gab sessions in Heaven.

It was such a privilege to visit with Mary and share Holy Communion with her the past few years. Her love for her family, God, church and her native Hawai'i were evident in every visit. Mary kept Chocolate Peipelman and I spellbound with stories of Pearl Harbor and her accomplished professional career. Mary blessed our lives with every visit.
