Mary Louise Gentempo's Obituary
Mary Louise Gentempo (nee Vento), 91, heard the voice of Jesus and
was welcomed into his open arms on Friday April 12, 2024. Born
October 29, 1932 in Houston, Texas, she was preceded in death by
her Parents, Charles and Anna (Schiro) Vento and a daughter, Mary
Margaret.
Cherishing her memory are her children: Joseph (Denise), Charles
(Ina), Peter (Rachel), Mary Beth (Billy), Angela (Nicky), Edward,
Allen and Gina; fourteen grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren,
her brother Carl (Mary Rose), and her sister, Theresa, an identical twin with whom she
shared a particularly strong bond. During their lives, they shared life experiences and
had a telepathic connection even when miles apart. The sisters attended the same classes
at Holy Name and Incarnate Word, traveled together to all the major Marian worldwide
shrines, and even married brothers fostering a close-knit family of Italian American
cousins that share in our memories.
Mary touched the heart and soul of everyone she met with a legacy of love for family,
Italian- American heritage, Roman Catholic faith with special devotion to our Blessed
Mother and St. Joseph and above all love for her Lord and Savior. We, her children, are
grateful that God gave this wonderful person to us as our Mother, showering us with love
and the foundation of Faith. We are forever blessed to be her sons and daughters.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday evening, April 23, 2024 from 5:00 until 8:00pm with a

Mass will be on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at 10:00am at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic
Church, 10727 Hartsook Drive, Houston 77034. Burial will follow at SouthPark
Cemetery, 1310 N. Main St, Pearland, 77581.
