Mary Fernandez, a beloved mother, grandmother, and cherished member of her community, passed away peacefully on November 3, 2025, at the age of 78.
Born on January 25, 1947, in Pearland, Texas, the daughter of Emilio and Esther Fernandez. Mary lived a life rich in love, faith, and service. She was the proud mother of five children, Samuel, Margaret, Jesse, Israel, and Maria, each of whom carries forward her legacy of warmth, generosity, and devotion to family. She had many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.
Her home was a haven of comfort and joy, where the aroma of her cooking and the sound of laughter filled every corner. She was especially known for her homemade tamales, menudo, and chili. She loved cooking and serving others. It was her gift and she knew it.
Mary had a deep love for her faith and found great joy in listening to her pastor’s services. Her spiritual strength was a guiding light for those around her, and she lived each day with grace and gratitude. She had a remarkable gift for hospitality—welcoming others with open arms and a kind heart, always eager to bless those in need with her time, her table, and her unwavering compassion.
Her presence was a source of peace and encouragement, and her memory will live on in the lives she touched. Mary’s legacy is one of love—love for her family, her faith, and the countless people she uplifted through her generous spirit.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
