Martha Ann Martens Maxey, 81, passed away on March 14, 2019 in Houston, Texas following a courageous battle with Cancer. Martha was born June 30, 1937 in Houston, Texas.
Martha was raised in Houston and graduated Milby High School in 1955. Martha married David Curtis Maxey in 1954 and they spent 29 wonderful years together. Martha loved her family and friends. She loved camping, backpacking, volunteer work, cooking, crocheting and many other things.
Martha is survived by her brother and sister in law Billy and Willie Dee Martens; daughter, Leslie Maxey Munoz and husband Ruben L. Munoz, daughter, Terri Maxey Wiernasz, and son, Scott Alan Maxey and wife Kathryn Maxey. Grandchildren Jason C. Wiernasz and wife Pamela Wiernasz, Joseph D. Wiernasz, Raney A. Maxey, Megan C. Maxey, and Hannah K. Maxey. Step grandchildren Michael R. Munoz and wife Catie M. Munoz, Matthew A. Morris, and Marcus A. Munoz. Great grandchildren Brian and Kaitlyn Wiernasz. Martha is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
