Marsha Lee Hale Holden's Obituary
Beloved mother and woman who brought much love into this world and to the people whose lives she touched.
Marsha was born at St. Josephs in Houston, Tx on December 9th, 1950 and resided in Pearland, Tx with her daughter Connie, her sister Karen, and her 4 dogs.
Marsha passed away on February 19th, 2021 at Clearlake Hospital in Webster, Tx at the age of 70.
She was born the second of five children (3 sisters and 1 brother) born to Fred L. and Odett Decker Hale. The family moved several times in Houston, Tx before settling roots in Alief, Tx in the early 1960's. Marsha worked for Texas Instruments as a dedicated prefab engineer technician for 34 years and retired in 2008. Marsha took great pride in her work and loved solving problems with her peers. She was very outgoing, loved to go shopping, travel, concerts, and visiting with family as often as she could. She loved to talk and carry on conversations and never knew a stranger. She loved to give and donate to children and animal charity's, essential workers, and made sure all of her family had everything they needed. It was very rare she did anything for herself. She was always there to help whatever the need may be, and gave so unselfishly. Her most favorite thing was to watch her shows Walker Texas Ranger and Perry Mason, she also loved listening to her favorite music by Roy Orbison and Neil Diamond. She was most proud to attend the front row seats at a Neil Diamond concert before she retired.
Marsha married Willard E. Holden (July 5th, 1943 - July 20th, 1975) on July 17th, 1970. They had one child Connie S. Holden. She remarried 15 years later to Dennis E. Dougherty (August 11th, 1938 - June 26th, 2011) for 30 years.
Marsha is also preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Linda A. Harrington and Diana L. (Dee) Hale, and brother in law Peter Kapuza.
Marsha leaves behind her loving daughter, Connie S. Holden, her brother Fred L. Hale and his wife Andrea, her sister Karen L. Hale, and brother in law Mike Wahoski. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, Billy W. Klanika, James Clesi and his wife Heather and their two children Zoee and Wyatt, Natalie Hale James and her husband Dennis and their two children Abbott and Amelia, and Jessica Hale and her fiance Alex Arias.
There will be a celebration of life service for Marsha on Saturday March 6th, at 10:00 am at South Park Funeral Home in Pearland, Tx. The viewing will be at 9:00 am.
