Marselino Anaya Arsola's Obituary
Marselino “Chele” Arsola entered into rest on May 7, 2024 in Houston, Tx. Chele was born in Buckeye, Tx on July 18, 1933. He served for 8 years in the US Army and shortly afterwards began a career with the US Postal Service until he retired 30+years later. Chele served at Sacred Heart in many different capacities such as being an usher, being part of the Men’s ACTS Retreat team and TMIY group, becoming a catechist and also a supporter of the St. Vincent de Paul society, and he also volunteered to help the needy and the poor in the church. But his greatest gift was the faith he had in God and his willingness to pass that on to all he came in contact with, especially his family. Chele is preceded in death by his father, Vicente Arsola, his mother Ventura Anaya Arsola, his wife, Diane Rocha Arsola, his brothers, Lupe and Chris Arsola, his sisters, Katy Rodriguez, and Irene Solis. He is survived by his sisters Lucy Herrera and Eufrasia “Chito” Fernandez, brother Johnny Arsola, sons, Tom Arsola and wife, Diane, Stephen Arsola, Greg Arsola and wife Mitzi, Leonard Arsola and wife Cindy, “adopted” son, Rodney Carson and former daughter-in-law, Karen Arsola. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jason, Katrina, Emily, William, Stephen, Joshua, Mackenzie, Jacob, Lynzie, and Gregory. Visitation will be on Monday, May 13 from 5-8pm at Southpark Funeral Home Pearland, TX Rosary will start at 7pm The funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, May 14th at 11am Mass at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Community in Manvel, TX. Reception will occur directly after at the Church Hall. Interment will be at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery at 3pm.
