Mrs. Marlene Dee Wallace's Obituary
Marlene Dee Wallace was born on October 16, 1932 in Adams, Nebraska. She went to be with our Heavenly Father on November 30, 2018. At an early age her Father, Charles and mother, Erma along with brother, Charles Lowell, moved to Chicago during the depression where her sister, Diana and younger brother, David, were born. She graduated from high school there in 1949 and soon after graduating at the age of 17, she married the love of her life, Gene Wallace.
At the early age of 9, her deep love for music led to her learning how to play piano and she spent her life using that giftedness in any way she could whether it was teaching piano to children and adults, arranging and writing her own music or performing regularly as part of her church worship. She played beautifully until later in years when arthritis affected her hands and she could no longer continue to play. She also served in Children’s Sunday School and became a certified Christian Counselor. She truly loved the Lord with all her mind, heart and soul.
She was preceded in death by Gene, her loving husband of 33 years and her parents Erma and Charles Waggoner. She is survived by her son Trenton Wallace (Elizabeth), her brother Charles Waggoner and his wife Ria, sister Diana Shurbet and her husband Rick and brother David who has been missing for 47 years. She loved dearly her two grandsons, two great grandsons and two great granddaughters.1 adopted great-grand daughter, 1 adopted great-grandson. She left this earthly world deeply loved by her nieces and nephews and many dear lifelong friends. Her contagious giggle and her joy and light touched each and everyone who knew her. We are all better for knowing her and hold tight to the day we will get to be together again
