Mr. Mark Anthony Misek's Obituary
Mark Anthony Misek entered into eternal rest on Saturday, April 23, 2016 in Houston, TX at the age of 66.
Mark is survived by his younger sister, Dagmar Misek McCulloch. Lovingly known as ‘Uncle Bachi’, he is also survived by niece Jennifer McCulloch Barnes (husband Bradley Barnes and children Alyssa and Daniel), nephew Matthew McCulloch (children Elijah and Ellanor) and nephew Daniel Jarmoluk (wife Gabriela Sosa Jarmoluk and children Ezequiel and Jeremías).
He is preceded in death by his parents, Vaclav Misek and Jaromira Susicka Misek and older sister, Marcella Misek Jarmoluk.
Mark was born on December 8, 1949 in Casablanca, Africa. Mark’s entire life was dedicated to serving his family, his country and his community. He served in the United States Army. After fulfilling his service in the military, he began a career in law enforcement. In California, he served as a deputy sheriff for Solano County, a police officer for the city of Modesto and was employed with the US Department of Defense in the city of Tracy.
In the early 1990’s he followed family and moved to Pasadena, Texas. He served as a Deputy Sheriff with Harris County for 16 years and retired in July 2007.
Mark was a man of honor, a man of his word. During his retirement, he fulfilled the promise made to his father of caring for his mother until she passed away in January 2012.
Mark was the epitome of a true servant. He selflessly gave to others and was a devoted son, brother and uncle. He left his family and those who knew him a legacy of generosity and loyalty.
