Marilyn Junette Seymore's Obituary
Marilyn Junette Seymore was born on October 31, 1951 to Montique and Violet Mitchell on the beautiful island of Trinidad. She was the seventh of twelve children born to their union. She accepted Christ at an early age. In 1972 she migrated to the United States and resided in Brooklyn, New York. She moved to Houston, Texas in 1986 where she met and married Jewel Seymore, and made Texas her permanent residence.
Marilyn loved the Lord and accepted Him as her Lord and Savior. She was a devoted member of Brentwood Baptist Church until she became ill in 2021. She was a virtuous woman who feared the Lord greatly. This was her strength and her heart belonged to him completely.
She was preceded in passing by her father Montique Mitchell, mother Violet Mitchell, brother Leroy Mitchell and sister Catherine Mitchell.
She leaves to mourn her passing her husband, Jewel Seymore; son, Kareem Mitchell; stepdaughter, Kathy Caldwell; grandchildren, Jasmine Mitchell (Farrah), Kate Mitchel (Jan); step grandchildren, Zoey Caldwell and Zarious Caldwell; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, godchildren, and other relatives and friends.
I have fought the good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love HIs appearing.
II Timothy 4:7-8
