Aunt Ri, I used to call her. Spent a lot of time with her when she still lived in my grandparents' house in Nutley. Taught me how to play poker when I was only 4. I haven't seen her in a long time, but I'll always have sweet memories of her.
Aunt Marie was so very Special To me. I’m grateful and loved our talks on the phone. Although we were so far away from each other, it was always great to share special events in each our lives. She love to hear about my children and took a big liking to my youngest Son Guil’s. When she spoke with my mom which was her baby sister Elizabeth, they would talk for many hours. It was special to see. She often told my mom, Betty, “in my Aunt’s wonderful Texan accent”, you must make it to 90 like your Sisters! And My Mom most certainly did this June. Aunt Marie never ever missed wishing my Mom a happy birthday. My Mom always looked forward to hearing from her Big Sister Marie. Even though miles and miles apart they still had a very special bond. When her Niece Lizzy & Nephew Jerry went to see her a few years ago, she was beyond thrilled to spend time with them. I will forever be so grateful for Aunt Marie. She will always hold a very special place in my heart. My sincere condolences to Donny, Debbie and your entire family. You were so amazing to her and she was so very blessed.
