Marie Kubick Drab's Obituary
Marie Kubiak Drab, 85 of Houston TX passed away on August 12, 2023.
Marie was born in Houston TX on 7/30/1938 as Mary Kubiak and for various reasons her name changed to Marie Kubick. She graduated from Incarnate Word Academy in downtown Houston, TX. She went on to receive an associates degree in Nutrition from San Jacinto College.
Marie married Bernard (B.J. or Bennie) Drab on October 12, 1957. Together they made a home in Houston, TX with 5 children.
Marie stayed at home raising her family for many years, but later worked at Moore Elementary in the Pasadena ISD for over 20 years as a Cafeteria Manager.
Marie enjoyed many hobbies including gardening, sewing, reading novels and being involved in her church. She also enjoyed spending time with her friends she met via Mount Carmel and with traveling and exploring with her Seniors Group, the New Generation Seniors.
Marie is survived by her children and their spouses, Andrew James Drab and wife Wendy, Matthew Gerard Drab and wife Tiina, Edmund Bernard Drab, Anne Drab Lea Jones and husband Larry Kevin and Douglas John Drab and his wife Erin. She is also survived by grandchildren, Ryan Drab, Annysa Walsh, Anthony Drab, Emily Carlson and Nathaniel Drab and also great granddaughter Ryana Drab.
Marie is preceded in death by her loving husband, Bernard Drab and granddaughter Lauren Drab.
