Maribel Trevino Hernandez, affectionately known as Mari, born on July 30th 1971 in Diaz Ordaz Tamaulipas left this world on January 24, 2024 after a brave battle with cancer.
Known for her incredible Mexican cuisine, she had a talent for creating mouthwatering dishes. Her grilling and barbecue skills were unparalleled, earning her the title of the best of the family. Cooking for others brought her immense joy, and witnessing the happiness it brought them warmed her heart. Additionally, her skill in crafting refreshing Micheladas was well known. Consider yourself fortunate if you had the chance to experience her culinary expertise.
A true fashionista, Maribel’s style reflected her vibrant personality, leaving an indelible mark around her. Her zest for life, warm heart, and infectious laughter will be dearly missed.
Maribel is survived by her loving children: Vanessa Torres, Erven Trevino, Cristal Trevino, Orlando Trevino and Edgar Trevino. She is also survived by her mother Gloria Trevino and siblings Eli Trevino, Brisa Davila and Jose Trevino.
Her legacy extends to her cherished grandchildren: Ethan Trevino, Kimberly Trevino, Ariel Trevino, Jorgie Cuevas, Kaylynn Cuevas and Jordan Cuevas. Maribel’s life was marked by her love for family and passion for creating memorable moments.
Maribel is preceded in death by her loving father, Silverio Trevino, sister Irma Gloria Trevino, and we can only imagine what a warm welcome that must’ve been.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Maribel’s life at South Park Funeral Home on January 30th from 4-8PM. Funeral service will be held on January 31st at South Park Funeral Home at 8AM, followed by interment at Forest Park Lawndale. As we say our goodbyes, let us remember the joy she brought into our lives and the love that will endure in our hearts.
