Ms. Marian Elizabeth Bracken's Obituary
Marian Elizabeth Bracken (aka Grammy or Mi Mi), age 60 born in Houston Texas on April 24, 1959 to Dorothy DeLong Rice and George William Rice Jr. She went to be with Our Lord and Savor, Jesus Christ on May 11, 2019. She is survived by her daughter Lacey Bracken and partner Eric Freund, handsome and precious grandson Luke Glen Freund, her brother Bobby DeLong and wife Sallie, and Sister Diana Brazil. Her nephew and nieces, Chris Cawthon and wife Elise, Mandie Zepeda, Tracy Johnson and husband James, Andrea Sweet and Jared Sweet. Also many great nieces and nephews, and a bevy of warm close sweet friends.
Marian was a beautiful fun loving sassy Mom, sister, Grammy, aunt Mi Mi and friend. She had a strong personality with a heart of gold and truly loved and adored her precious grandson Luke. Which was her world besides Chocolate and Dr Pepper! If you were lucky enough to be present when they were together you could feel the love they shared. She loved to bake, cross stitch, 80's/ Disco music, and adored Galveston Beach. Marian was also proud to have retired from South Western Bell.
Marian loved the Lord.
When you think of Marian, celebrate the good memories you have of her. Remember that life is fragile, short and should be lived to the fullest. Her presence in our lives will be greatly missed.
Marian was preceded in death by her Mother and Father. Her Brothers Ronnie DeLong and Sonny Rice, and sisters Suellen Tanner, and Rice Triplets.
